Founded Orange Gum, an EDB-backed enterprise messaging venture. As Chairman of Sagelion Capital, he oversees technology investments and strategic advisory, while using his deep tech background to promote AI literacy workshops for underserved communities. His personal mission is to help corporates and investors "up their game" in a digitally connected world — sensing investment opportunities, managing risk, and improving strategic competitiveness through technological disruption, enterprise reengineering, and continuous improvement (kaizen).

Sam Heng

Sam Heng brings over 25 years of experience in corporate and investment banking, business development, and strategic partnerships across Singapore and Southeast Asia. Passionate about creating meaningful social impact, he is committed to building collaborations between community organisations, businesses, educational institutions, and public sector partners to advance digital inclusion and lifelong learning.
At Sagelion Capital, Sam leads strategic partnerships to expand AI education and outreach programmes for underserved communities. He believes that AI should be an enabler of opportunity rather than a source of inequality, and is dedicated to ensuring that people of all ages, abilities, and backgrounds are equipped to embrace the opportunities of an AI-enabled future.
His vision is to mobilise community resources and cross-sector partnerships to empower individuals with practical AI skills, foster lifelong learning, and create pathways to meaningful employment and community participation.
